Restless Leg
7PMSydney band Restless Leg (RL) was born in March 2012 playing their first gig at a backyard party.
Constant gigging through the rest of that year shaped a sound built on lean and direct song arrangements recalling classic antipodean indie rockers such as The Go-Betweens and The Clean.
Paul Kean of The Bats reckons RL reminds him of his band’s classic Bats-era Daddy’s Highway album. Blackie from the Hard On’s has said that RL are tops! The AU Review described RL's most recent album, Dance Around My Head, as “iconic indie rock with a melancholic twist.”
The gravitational pull of some of these influences led the band to embark upon a pilgrimage back to the place of much of their musical inspiration… Aotearoa/New Zealand, on their South-by-South tour in 2025.
Fourteen years young, RL is a band at the height of its powers, and which comes from years of friendship and fun making music together.
